Abstract:
Provided is fabric for wetsuits which has heat insulating properties, stretchability, and quick-drying properties. The fabric for wetsuits comprises a sponge sheet constituted of a foamed chloroprene rubber and, laminated on one or both surfaces thereof, weft knitted fabric obtained by knitting a polypropylene multifilament yarn and an elastic yarn by plating. The elastic yarn of this fabric is constituted of heat-fusible polyurethane elastic fibers, and the elastic yarns of the flat weft-knitted fabric have been thermally fusion-bonded to each other. The elastic yarns have been thermally fusion-bonded to each other by heat setting at 100-140°C.
