Abstract:
A small fall detection sensor 10 is for detecting inclination and fall in an omnidirectional inclination direction, and is configured to comprise: a hollow non-magnetic body case 12 provided with a recess curved surface 12a that is open upward and a lid member 12b that closes an upper end of the curved surface liquid-tightly; a flat magnet 13 that is shaped in the form of a disk radially magnetized or in a shape of a rectangular parallelepiped longitudinally magnetized and that is housed in a hollow part 12c demarcated by the curved surface of the case and the lid member; a magnetic fluid 14 that is magnetically attracted to magnetic pole parts 13a, 13b at both ends in the radial direction of the magnet in the hollow part; and a lead switch 15 having a pair of leads 15a, 15b arranged integrally around the center axis of the case and below the case, wherein, when the small fall detection sensor is upright, the center axis extends in the vertical direction, the magnet is located such that the magnetization direction extends in the length direction of the lead switch around the center axis of the curved surface of the case in accordance with a gravitational force, the magnetic pole parts of the magnet magnetize the corresponding leads of the lead switch located directly thereunder, one lead 15a is magnetized in an N pole and the other lead is magnetized in an S pole, and the lead switch is turned on, and, when the small fall detection sensor is inclined from the upright state, the magnet slides along the curved surface of the case and deviates from the center axis, only one of the magnetic pole parts of the magnet is located around the center axis, the leads are magnetized by the magnetic pole part in the same polarity, and the lead switch is turned off.
