The present invention provides a far infrared heater for increasing heat exchange efficiency. The heater of the present invention comprises: a combustion tube (12) for generating heat therein by combustion; and heat exchange tubes (14, 16) connected to the combustion tube so as to discharge hot air to the outside. The heat exchange tube comprises: cylindrical vertical tubes (16) having a predetermined height in the vertical direction, and being vertically assembled at both sides which face each other; and horizontal tubes (14) for connecting the vertical tubes to each other. In addition, spacers (18a, 18b) are provided between the vertical tubes such that the flow of the air can be controlled. Furthermore, the horizontal tubes (14) are formed by extrusion-molding aluminum and have a heat exchange fin (14e) provided in at least a portion thereof along a longitudinal direction. The vertical tubes (16) are formed by die-casting aluminum and have a heat exchange protrusion molded on at least a portion of the inner or outer side thereof. The spacers (18a, 18b) are inserted into extension portions respectively formed at the upper and lower end portions of the vertical tubes such that the upper and lower vertical tubes can be supported.
