Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fast Fourier transformation method and apparatus and, more particularly, to a fast Fourier transformation method and apparatus with low power and high performance capable of effectively processing a fast Fourier transformation for a voice signal or the like. The present invention discloses the fast Fourier transformation (FFT) apparatus that performs fast Fourier transformation on an input signal and outputs same, the fast Fourier transformation apparatus comprising: a data input unit for receiving an input signal including a plurality of sample data from the outside; a fast Fourier transformation (FFT) core for performing fast Fourier transformation on the sample data; an intermediate buffer for storing an intermediate calculation result; a data output unit for outputting an output signal including the sample data subjected to fast Fourier transformation; and a control unit for controlling a fast Fourier transformation process for the input signal, wherein the control unit controls the fast Fourier transformation (FFT) core that is driven two or more times in the fast Fourier transformation process of the sample data to sequentially drive.
