Abstract:
This coil-shaped fastener element (20) is stitched to a fastener tape (13) without a core string being used. An upper leg part (23) of the fastener element (20) has a first upper surface (27a) which is contiguous from a coupling part (24) and is in contact with sewn threads (14, 16) and a second upper surface (27b) which extends from the first upper surface (27a) via a bend part (28) and inclines upward, and the height measurement (H1) between a top surface (27c) of the upper leg part (23) and the bend part (28) is 20% or more of the height measurement (He) of the fastener element (20). The upper leg part (23) has a first lower surface (26a) which inclines toward a meshing head part (21) so as to separate from the fastener tape (13), and the upper leg part (23) has an element abutting part (23a) in a region of the first lower surface (26a). Thus, a cost reduction can be achieved for a slide fastener (1), and the fastener element (20) can be prevented from passing through the sewn threads (14, 16) and coming off.
