Abstract:
A fault detection device (10), wherein a first detection means (S155) detects, as a first brightness, the brightness of an image capture object in a first reference region that is a region on a captured image screen (a current captured image screen) represented by image data acquired in the current cycle, the brightness being estimated from the pixel value of a pixel included in the first reference region and a control gain (a current control gain) set regarding the current captured image screen. A second detection means (S160) specifies, as a second reference region, a region in which the same image capture object as the image capture object appearing in the first reference region in the previous cycle appears in the current captured image screen, and detects, as a second brightness, the brightness of the image capture object in the second reference region similarly to the first detection means. A fault detection means (S165) detects a fault in a camera (20) on the basis of whether or not the difference between the first brightness in the previous cycle and the second brightness in the current cycle is within a predetermined range.
