Abstract:
Disclosed is a fault detection method, which is executed by a first provider edge device PE1, and comprises: sending a first negotiation request to a second provider edge device PE2, so that the PE2 forwards the first negotiation request to a third provider edge device PE3; receiving a first negotiation message, wherein the first negotiation message is a message forwarded by the PE2 and returned by the PE3; and determining, according to the first negotiation message, whether a fault is present in a first link and a second link, wherein the first link is a virtual dedicated network link established between the PE1 and the PE2 and based on a data link layer, and the second link is a virtual dedicated network link established between the PE2 and PE3 and based on an Ethernet. Further disclosed are a provider edge device, an electronic device and a computer-readable medium.
