1. Feeding unit for premature babies, characterized in that comprising a bed which is divided each 15 degree angle between 0-90 degrees in the back section and divided each 15 degrees angle between 0-45 degrees in the feet;

An abutment which settles by means of an interlock with the gaps on the bed on which angle it wants to be stand on, detachable from the bed and can be fit in the gaps of 15 degrees on the bed;

A semi-spherical lower part fixed on the base which has a "+" shaped gap and on which the base of the care unit is placed that allows the care unit to stand on any ground;

A bulge which allows to move at 40 degrees angle to both left and right sides and fits tightly with the gap width, without moving out from the "+" gap on the base center of the care unit;

A vibration motor which located behind the bed, providing percussive and flushing movement to prevent of increasing of the mucociliary clearance and mucus accumulation in the associated lung area.

The invention is an ergonomic feeding unit which helps nurses and provide proper position feeding and growing for new born premature babies.

P RIOR ART

Feeding units in current use are not suitable for feeding, and nurses must to feeding one hand and carry the baby with the other hand. It is very difficult to find both the proper angle and position and to feed correctly. In addition, the natural necessity and need of newborn babies, the mothers bosom and the mother-baby relationship established in the earlier times, unfortunately, cannot occur in the first months of premature babies. Baby's eye contact, baby's hand holding and caressing of her/his hair or face, laughing are important for the baby to feel safe. Known as kangaroo care model s implement is also important for skin contact. In existing intensive care units kangaroo position cannot be applied, babies are affecting the psychological development negatively.

Existing intensive care units that premature newborn babies are admitted are usually laid on the back and their arms are folded in the abdomen called supine position. Depending on the position, the amount of plasma cleared from any substance by the kidneys in a minute, depending on the immobility in the baby, or mucosynthetic cholinesterase which shows the value of purification of any substance found in blood plasma may weaken and cause mucus accumulation in the lung area, and may generate atelectasis and respiratory tract infection in the lung area.

Another risk created by the position in the supine position is the Ventilator Related Pneumonia (VIP). This position, which leads to a decrease in lung volume, also increases the incidence of VIP since bacterial contamination due to secretion accumulation of intestinal patients and gastric aspiration during enteral feeding.

The invention is designed baby care unit which supports newborn babies half- sitting position from the bottom, enable them to turn right/left side in lying position and provide feeding in the right angle, able to care in and out of the incubator, especially in kangaroo position.

DE TAIL E D DE S C RIPTION OF THE INVE NTION

The premature baby care unit that subject to invention is about to an ergonomic feeding unit which has a backrest that can be adjustable fractionally to support the preterm/mature babies in a half-sitting position in newborn intensive care units. The bed part of the unit is mobile. This product is designed to fit both in and out the incubator, especially in the kangaroo position.

Thus, it is economical and practical because of the baby uses its own feeding unit while maintaining in the kangaroo position, and also contributes to protection of baby from infectious.

The invention prevents aspiration and related complications in preterm/mature baby. By the reason of the baby's position can be changed; it also prevents the creation of bed sores in babies and the development of infection in the lungs. During the feeding of babies using the invention, nurses will be simplify to caress and touch them because one hand is empty. This affects the development of babies positively.

The premature baby bed, 50 cm in height excluding the bed can move between 0-90 degrees angle in the back part and 0-45 degrees angle in the foot part, allowing the adjustment of the user in 15 degrees angle increments. This adjustment is accomplished by abutments that can be separated from the bed at the back and foot part of the bed and can be seated in the 15 degrees angle intervals on the bed. The base is placed in such a way that if the care unit is to be stopped at a certain angle, it is moved to the corresponding gap. Thus, the care unit is positioned at that angle.

The baby care unit that subject to invention, besides the told above about back and foot parts movement, it can also make right and left lying movements while its center remains fixed. The center of the base of the care unit is placed on the lower part of the semi-spherical form with a "+" gap above it. This lower part is fixed on the base which allows the care unit to stand on any ground. The center of the base of the care unit contains bulge in the gap of the "+" shape that can move and fits tightly with the gap width. By way of this bulge, it makes movement to right and left in the intervals allowed by the "+" gap (40 degrees in both directions) without moving out in the gap of "+". In addition to this, it contains vibration motor which provides to increase mucociliary clearance and percussive and flicker movement to prevent mucus accumulation in the associated lung area in placed behind the bed section.

It is equipped with an adjustable belt system that takes into consideration the weight, height and volume of the baby. This belt keeps the baby in the upper and lower place depending on the position of the bed, and the tightness ratings of the belts can be changed. In the bed with a carrying capacity of up to 10 kg; it contains Latex, Coconut F iber, Cotton, Visco and supporting H R sponges as sponge swelling (air) system. The Visco sponge used in the Visco bed is at least 5 cm (centimetre) high and its density is at least 70 dns (density). 45 HR and 32 dns gray sponge are used as complementary under Visco sponge. Under the gray sponge, 22 density mattress cots are used, fully matched to baby movements and guaranteed to collapse. Hospital-type anti- bacteria I liquid impervious sheet has air-permeable feature.
