Abstract:
Provided is a fiber structure that satisfies both high trapping efficiency and low pressure loss. This fiber structure has integrally mixed therein ultrafine fibers having a number average monofilament fiber diameter of at most 4.5 μm and non-ultrafine fibers having a number average monofilament fiber diameter of at least 5.5 μm, and is configured to have projecting parts on the ultrafine fibers surfaces and/or the non-ultrafine fibers surfaces. In this fiber structure, for example, the ultrafine fibers may be heat resistant, and the non-ultrafine fibers may be heat resistant.
