Abstract:
This fiber-treating agent contains components (A) to (C) and has a turbidity of 1000 NTU or less (where a part of, or all of, the components (A) and (B) may change into a state of a condensate produced from both of the components). (A): Formaldehyde or a hydrate thereof. (B): A phenolic compound having an electron donating group on at least one meta position, and having a hydrogen atom on at least one of an ortho position and a para position (where the electron donating group on the meta position may form, together with an adjacent carbon atom, a benzene ring optionally substituted with a hydroxyl group). (C): Water.
