Title:
FIBROUS CELLULOSE, FIBROUS CELLULOSE DISPERSION, AND FIBROUS CELLULOSE PRODUCTION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/215502
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing microfibrous cellulose capable of exhibiting exceptional dispersibility stability and exceptional coating suitability when added to a coating material. The present invention pertains to fibrous cellulose that has an ionic substituent and has a fiber width of 1000 nm or less, wherein: the amount of ionic substituent in the fibrous cellulose is 0.10-1.50 mmol/g (inclusive); the degree of polymerization of the fibrous cellulose is 150-515 (inclusive); and when the fibrous cellulose is dispersed in a dispersing solvent containing water and isopropanol to form a dispersion that has a viscosity at 23°C of 2500 mPa·s and is such that the mass ratio of water and isopropanol is 7:3, and the dispersion is stirred under prescribed stirring conditions, the viscosity change rate calculated by the following formula is within ±50%. Viscosity change rate (%)=(viscosity after stirring-viscosity before stirring)/viscosity before stirring×100
