Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a fibrous cellulose which exhibits excellent reinforcing effect for resins; a method for producing this fibrous cellulose; and a resin composition which has high strength.
[Solution] A fibrous cellulose according to the present invention is a microfibrous cellulose which has an average fiber diameter of 1 μm or more, and which is hydrophobically modified. When this fibrous cellulose is produced according to the present invention, a starting material fiber is fibrillated into a microfibrous cellulose that has an average fiber diameter of 1 μm or more, while being hydrophobically modified. A resin composition according to the present invention is configured to contain this fibrous cellulose and a resin.
