Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to reliably guide a fiber bundle to a helical winding head, while also cutting down on the effort required for thread guard work. A filament winding device 1 is provided with: a support section for rotatably supporting a liner L; a bobbin support section 12 for supporting a bobbin B about which a fiber bundle F has been wound; a helical winding unit 40 for helically winding the fiber bundle F onto the liner L, the fiber bundle F traveling through a fiber bundle guidance route 50 formed from the bobbin support section 12 to the liner L; and a standard thread guidance mechanism 62 for forming a standard thread guidance route 60 for guiding a standard thread Y from the bobbin B to the liner L, the standard thread being of a different type than the fiber bundle F and being tied to a distal end section of the fiber bundle F. The standard thread guidance mechanism 62 comprises nozzles 63 for launching the standard thread Y, and guide tubes 64 for guiding the launched standard thread Y. The nozzles 63 and the guide tubes 64 are arranged along the fiber bundle guidance route 50, and are configured so that the standard thread Y can be extracted from the standard thread guidance route 60 to the fiber bundle guidance route 50.
