Abstract:
A storage system is provided with a first node connected to a client and a storage device, and a second node connected to the client and the storage device. The first node is provided with a first memory that stores cache data, receives first data from the client, stores the first data in the first memory, and controls the storing of the content of the first data from the first memory to the storage device on the basis of an instruction from the second node. The second node is provided with a second memory that stores the same cache data as the first memory. When the content of the data stored in the storage device or the content of the data stored before the storing of the first data in the second memory is the same as the content of the first data stored in the second memory, the second node instructs the first node to not store the content of the first data from the first memory to the storage device.
