Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a filling and packaging machine, which may be used to fill a container with a content substance in a chamber and which enables sterilization work of replacement gas nozzles and a replacement gas supply pipe, through which a replacement gas is supplied into an internal space of the container, to be reliably carried out without requiring a complex nozzle structure or nozzle closing means. [Solution] The filling and packaging machine 1 comprises: a replacement gas supply pipe 170 communicating with the interior of a chamber 2; replacement gas nozzles 171A, 171B which are disposed at the tip of the replacement gas supply pipe 170 and through which a replacement gas is supplied into an internal space of a container C1 at a first point subsequent to sterilization and prior to filling with a content substance and at a second point subsequent to the filling with the content substance and prior to sealing of an upper opening; a sterilizer supplying means P1, AB1, AB2 for supplying a sterilizer into the chamber 2; and a negative pressure generating means 181 which is connected to the replacement gas supply pipe 170 in such a manner that communication therebetween can be shut off and which generates a negative pressure inside the replacement gas supply pipe 170 such that the sterilizer supplied into the chamber 2 by sterilizer supplying means P1, AB1, AB2 is sucked through the replacement gas nozzles 171A, 171B.
