Disclosed are a filtering device of a washing machine and a washing machine. The washing machine comprises a cabinet (7) and a washing drum (2) rotatably arranged in the cabinet (7), the washing drum (2) being configured to be of a drum structure for containing water during washing, and a filtering device (1) being mounted on an inner peripheral wall of the washing drum (2). The filtering device (1) comprises a mounting base (3) located on the inner peripheral wall of the washing drum (2) and having a water guide passage (4) for guiding and draining water in the washing drum (2) to the outside of the washing drum (2), and a filtering passage (5) for limiting a water circulation path in the washing drum (2); and a filter (6) located on the mounting base (3) and in communication with the filtering passage (5), wherein the water guide passage (4) is separate from the filtering passage (5). Drainage is conducted from a first water drainage port (21) located at a lower portion of a peripheral wall of the washing drum (2) via the water guide passage (4) arranged in the filtering device from top to bottom, it thus being possible to save on space occupied by the installation of a water passage and improve a volume expansion effect.
