Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fire-resistant fabric using carbon fibers, and a method for producing same. A fire-resistant fabric using carbon fibers according to the present invention is characterized by comprising cellulose silicate fibers, an aramid nitrogen-containing polymer resin, the carbon fibers, and composite particles composed of 35-40 wt% of titanium dioxide and 60-65 wt% of silicon dioxide. According to the present invention, provided is a fire-resistant fabric which is waterproof, has a flame-retardant effect, and has mechanical durability. In particular, the fire-resistant fabric is strong at high temperatures of 1,700-2,200 °C, thus having excellent fire resistance, while also being soft and comfortable to wear, and thus can be used in heat-resistant clothing, such as firefighting garments, mattress covers, and various functional clothing such as work clothes.
