Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a flame retardant and antimicrobial composite polypropylene filter material and a preparation method thereof, the filter material including the following components by weight percentage: 70-90 wt% isotactic polypropylene, 3-10 wt% functional negative ion release material, 3-10 wt% nano-scale antimicrobial agent, 2-5 wt% graphene oxide, 0.5-5 wt% flame retardant and 1-3 wt% dispersant. The filter material of the present invention may be prepared into multiple forms, such as mesh or fabric by means of melt blending extrusion, and is appropriate for removing pollutants from air in different environments; the functional negative ion release material uses a piezoelectric material capable of spontaneously generating negative oxygen ions without consuming energy and without generating secondary pollutants such as ozone, the released negative oxygen ions agglomerating and settling with particulates in air carrying a positive charge, and being capable of rapidly removing the particulates; using two or more flame retardants together can improve the flame retardancy of the material, and using graphene oxide as an electrically conductive modifier can both increase the negative ion release capability of the piezoelectric material and complement the antimicrobial functionality of the nano-scale antimicrobial agent.
