Title:
FLAT COMMUTATOR AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/073776
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A flat commutator wherein commutator segments and metal pieces having winding connecting terminals are firmly fixed and their adhesion is increased to realize satisfactory electric conductivity, thus making it possible to obtain perfect electric connection, comprising a plurality of metal pieces individually insulated and fixed which have winding connecting terminals extending at least along the outer periphery of an insulation support, a plurality of commutator segments corresponding to the metal pieces which are individually insulated and fixed to an insulation support, the insulation support, metal pieces and commutator segments being integrated, the brush slide surfaces of the commutator segments being perpendicular to the axis of the rotor, the flat commutator being characterized in that at least some of the opposed surfaces of the commutator segments and metal pieces are inclined surfaces, inclined upwardly of the rotor axis and outwardly.
