Abstract:
The present invention provides: a flexographic printing original plate which is reduced in size and number of pinholes in a heat-sensitive mask layer by a simple process; and a flexographic printing plate which is obtained from this flexographic printing original plate, and which is almost free from defects due to pinholes. A flexographic printing original plate which is obtained by sequentially stacking at least (A) a supporting body, (B) a photosensitive resin layer, (C) a heat-sensitive mask layer and (D) a cover film, and which is characterized in that: a surface of the cover film (D), said surface being in contact with the heat-sensitive mask layer (C), has a surface energy of from 25.0 mN/m to 40.0 mN/m and a surface roughness (Ra) of from 0.01 μm to 0.2 μm; and (E) a protective layer which is formed from a polymer compound that is dispersible in a developer liquid is provided between the photosensitive resin layer (B) and the heat-sensitive mask layer (C).
