Abstract:
A flocculation and sedimentation device and sedimentation tank are provided with which it is possible to avoid the consolidation of sediments in the pit of the sedimentation tank, and a control method of the flocculation and sedimentation device is provided. This flocculation and sedimentation device comprises: a first and second flocculation tank 2, 3 which, by adding a sedimentation promoter and a flocculant, enable flocculation of suspended materials in raw water as flocs; a sedimentation tank 4; a cyclone 20 which separates the slurry extracted from the sedimentation tank 4 into a sludge and the sedimentation promoter, and returns the separated sedimentation promoter into the aforementioned flocculation tank 3; and a stirring member 30 which includes a bar-shaped or strip-shaped elongate member which is provided in the pit 17 of the sedimentation tank 4 and extends downwards. The stirring member 30 comprises a radiating-direction arm 33 and a stirring bar 34, 35 provided suspended from the arm.
