Abstract:
A floor covering is intended for use in the construction sector for laying and covering floors in residential and public buildings. The claimed floor covering is configured in the form of a composite sandwich consisting of 5 layers: a first stabilizing, sound-proofing, heat and moisture-resistant rubber layer; a second layer in the form of a load-bearing panel consisting of a sheet of PVC or HDF provided with a tongue and groove-type interlocking system; a third thin fibreglass mat layer for protecting the load-bearing panel against splitting and also providing flexibility; a fourth adhesive layer for securing artificial stone or any natural stone on the composite sandwich; and a fifth layer in the form of a machined slab of artificial or natural stone. The design of the floor covering makes it easy to lay.
