Abstract:
Provided is a fluorosilane compound which, when used in a surface treatment agent, is excellent in terms of water repellency, water-sliding property, weatherability, and wear resistance and which is soluble in non-fluorinated organic solvents. The present invention provides a fluorosilane compound represented by general formula (1). General formula (1): CF3(CF2)q-O(CF2CF2O)m(CF2)p(CH2)nSiR1 (3-a)(OR2)a (In general formula (1), R1 and R2 are each independently a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1-4 carbon atoms, a is 2-3, p is 1 or greater, q is 0 or greater, m is 1 or greater, and n is 2-4, p+q+2m+1 being 5-14.)
