Abstract:
The inventor of the present invention considers that a flying object such as a multi-rotor helicopter known as a drone is preferably used for effective information collection for fire-fighting and rescue operations at the site of fire. However, in spite of being in a severely high temperature environment caused by the fire, economic efficiency and the like is required in addition to promptness, and thus few attempts of such usage have been made so far. This multi-rotor helicopter (300) is capable of performing hovering flight, and is provided with a range sensor (320) for measuring a spatial environment relating to the presence of wall parts (510) and furniture and fixtures (601), (602), (603), and (604) in the horizontal direction, wherein the measurement of the spatial environment by the range sensor (320) is performed omnidirectionally by adopting the hovering flight performed while rotating about the vertical axis of the multi-rotor helicopter (300).
