A foldable chain type track. The foldable chain type track is formed by hinging unit bodies, and comprises an end unit body I (10), several middle unit bodies (12) and an end unit body II (11). Each unit body is provided with a pulley module I, a pulley module II and a track member, wherein pulley modules I on upper sides of the end unit body I (10) and the end unit body II (11) are connected to a suspension rope; pulley modules I on lower sides of the end unit body I (10) and the end unit body II (11), and the pulley module I of each middle unit body (12) are connected to a traction rope I; and the pulley modules II of the end unit body I (10), the middle unit bodies (12) and the end unit body II (11) are connected to a traction rope II. The foldable chain type track has a folded state, a U-shaped curve state and a straight line state, wherein in the folded state, the length of same can be reduced significantly, and the track is convenient to transport, deliver and recover, and in the put-up and recovery processes, can adapt to most situations of the distance from a bridge bottom face to the under-bridge ground or the water surface being less than the length of the track.
