Abstract:
A foreground separation apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an image acquisition module for acquiring an input image from a capturing device; a background model management module for storing a background model that is an image consisting of only a background image from among the input image; a foreground image extraction module for extracting, from the input image, a foreground image consisting of a binary image; a boundary line extraction module for extracting a boundary line from the foreground image consisting of the binary image; a foreground area extraction module for extracting a foreground area that is an inner area of the boundary line; a foreground coordinate extraction module for extracting foreground coordinates that are internal coordinates of the foreground area; and a result image output module for outputting a result image that is an image in which color information of a point corresponding to the foreground coordinates in the input image is recorded as color information of the foreground coordinates.
