Abstract:
The present invention relates to a forging method. A first inflow step is performed for causing a first inflow amount of material (16a) to flow into a first gap (32) of a squeezing forming mold (14) through a mold cavity (24). A second inflow step is performed for causing a second flow amount of material (42a) to reach an outflow restriction part (58) of a first rough forming mold (40). A third inflow step is performed for causing material (92a) to flow into a second gap (112) of a finish forming mold (90) to give the material (92a) a set thickness. A demolding step is performed for releasing a crankshaft (92) having burrs by causing a knockout pin (114) protruding from a second flat surface (104b) of the finish forming mold (90) to contact the material (92a). The first inflow amount and the second inflow amount are amounts that allow the material (92a) that flows into the second gap (112) in the third inflow step to have the set thickness, which is large enough to withstand the contact with the knockout pin (114).
