Abstract:
Disclosed are a frame alignment method and device, the method comprising: obtaining a data stream in the current clock period; identifying a delimiter in the data stream; setting at least two levels of caching according to a preset method; frame-aligning the data stream according to the delimiter in the data stream via the at least two levels of caching. The technical solution of the present invention simplifies the frame alignment method through cascade caching, so as to avoid simultaneously splitting all frame data in a single caching, thus greatly reducing the impact on timing design caused by chip layout wiring delay due to complicated logic, and facilitating clock frequency designing. The present invention is suitable for frame alignment in all kinds of high-speed packet over SONET/SDH (POS) framers, and addresses the problem of difficulties and inadequacies of traditional multi-byte-based frame alignment methods.
