Abstract:
Provided is a frame for a walking assist device, the frame being capable of sufficiently transmitting, to a sole of a wearer, torque generated by driving force transmitted from a drive source and being capable of effectively assisting in walking motion. This frame (2) for a walking assist device is connected to a drive source (cover member, links (1b, 1c)) and is pivoted in the front-rear direction by driving force transmitted from the drive source about a portion near an ankle of a person wearing a shoe as a pivot center (11d). The frame (2) for a walking assist device is characterized in that: the frame is provided with a plate part (2b) that is attached to a shoe at a position below the bottom surface of an upper of the shoe and is inclined with respect to the bottom surface of the shoe such that the front side thereof is positioned lower than the rear side; and a connection portion (11c) at which the drive source and the frame for a walking assist device are connected and driving force is transmitted to the frame is positioned on the front side of the pivot center.
