Abstract:
Provided are a freshness-preserving film and freshness-preserving container that are capable of efficiently breaking down ethylene generated by plants or the like into water and carbon dioxide in not only in bright conditions, but also in dark places as well. The freshness-preserving film according to the present invention is a freshness-preserving film made of a resin having the property of resisting the permeation of oxygen and water vapor, the resin containing zinc oxide in which photocatalytic activity sites have been coated by a coating agent. The coverage rate of the zinc oxide by the coating agent is 0.3–1.2%. The coating amount of the coating agent is 0.2–10 weight% with respect to the coated zinc oxide.
