Abstract:
Provided is a fuel tank that includes a built-in component (6) having a head section (6c), a neck section (6c), and a shoulder section (6b), the fuel tank being configured so that, at the time of forming, a parison (SA) is caused to surround the neck section (6c), and as a result, the built-in component (6) is fixed to a tank body, wherein the fuel tank includes a deformation preventing structure that prevents a parison-equivalent part (W) which has been caused to surround the neck section (6c) from being deformed due to pressure acting on the tank body. The deformation preventing structure is configured to include, for example, any of the following: a step-shaped section (6h) provided at the shoulder section (6b); a projection-shaped section; and a recess-shaped section.
