CLAIMS 1.) A functional smart device case (1) comprising of a body (2); a gap (3) inside of the body (2) wherein the smart device is placed; at least one chip embedded within the body (2) and fulfilling necessary functions in contactless manner through its activation by moving the chip along with the case (1) based on the software installed; and characterized in that the present invention comprises at least one window (4) containing two parts one of which is cover (4.1) placed on the chip and the other one accommodates cover pocket (4.2), where the window covers the chip through horizontal sliding over the cover pocket (4.2) by the user to avoid access of contactless devices to the chip, and enables access of the chip by the device through its placement within the cover pocket (4.2) by means of horizontal sliding in reverse direction. |
Technical Field
This invention is related to a functional smart device case by which the users can protect their smart device by placing it within the case and realize contactless transactions in ergonomic way, such as card pass system, payment via credit card etc.
The users can activate the chip to be used for the selected contactless feature among the chips on the body of the functional smart device case by sliding the cover of the relevant chip, and can fulfill all transactions in ergonomic way by making the smart device case read to the devices having the transaction.
Prior Art
Today, almost everyone including young and elder people use smart mobile phones and smart devices. Users generally cover their smart devices by cases to protect them against scratches and breakage. On the other side, contactless cards are used more than ever for payments, for card pass systems and other transactions.
As the aforementioned transactions increase, users have started to use and carry more cards to complete these transactions. These cards can be lost and forgotten. To avoid such problems, users generally prefer phone cases having special card pockets. Thereby, users can access their cards easily.
The Korean Patent document numbered KR 2016 0067066 explains that transactions can be made via mobile application by placing NFC label on the outer body of the smart device case. However, use of the mobile application during the transaction is not feasible in ergonomic sense. Furthermore, removing the label on the case brings disadvantages in terms of user safety. In addition, this case can only be used to make payments.
The Turkish Patent document numbered TR 2017/20297 explains that contactless transactions can be performed easily by means of RFID placed inside of the smart device case.
Aforementioned techniques do not mention that cards placed within the smart device case can be used by activating the chip, which, then, can be deactivated after completion of the transaction, and any explanation on safer use is not available.
Detailed Description of the Invention
The functional smart device case invented to achieve the purpose of this invention is shown in enclosed figures.
In this figures;

The functional smart device case of the present invention (1) comprises of following components;
A body (2)

RFID label, NFC card and similar contactless card systems may be applied to the functional smart device case (1) of the present invention.
Chips of the functional smart device case (1) of the present invention are placed within the window (4) on the backside of the body (2). The users can install any contactless application module. For example, any user purchasing smart device case (1) where any application has not been downloaded yet can install card pass modules such as bus card and building entry card to the
3 chip. If the users want to use bus card, then they activate the chip by sliding the cover (4.1) on the window (4) in horizontal direction and use the case (1) carrying the phone ergonomically for public transportation means such as bus, metro.
The cover (4.1) on the cover pocket (4.2) of the windows, which are available on the smart device case (1) of the present invention comprises of a plate made of aluminum and similar material preventing conductivity. This aluminum plate covers the chip to prevent use of unnecessary modules and enable scanning of only active module.
The functional smart device case (1) of the present invention can be used for any mobile devices such as mobile phone, tablet and computer. The case (1) can be made of any material.
