Abstract:
A gap compensation device for a model car according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a guide part which is mounted on the bottom surface of the model car and has a guide rail formed therein along the vertical direction; a gap compensation part which is mounted to the guide part, has a bottom surface that is in contact with the top surface of a board having a runway formed therein, ascends and descends along the guide rail so as to conform to the shape of the top surface of the board when the model car travels, and is configured to compensate for a gap between the bottom surface of the model car and the top surface of the board to keep the bottom surface constantly in contact with the top surface of the board; and a magnetic body which is mounted to the gap compensation part and coupled to a lead member, with the board therebetween, by a magnetic force, wherein the lead member is provided below the board and can move in the horizontal direction. According to the present invention, even when a gap between the bottom surface of the model car and one surface of the board narrows or widens due to the shape of the model car or the shape of the runway, the gap is compensated for so that the magnetic body is constantly in contact with the top surface of the board. Accordingly, the magnetic force between the lead member and the magnetic body is maintained constant by maintaining the gap between the magnetic body and the lead member constant, and thus the traveling performance of the model car can be improved.
