Abstract:
A garbage can of the present invention comprises: a body part which includes a case, having an inner space formed therein and an open upper portion, and a lid hinged to the body part, the lid being configured to open and close the upper portion of the case; a basket mounted in the inner space to put garbage; an opening and closing part configured to allow the lid to rotate about the hinge by interlocking with a seesaw operation of a second link when the second link, coupled to a first link which is connected vertically to the lid, is connected to a footrest exposed to the outside of the case and pressure is applied to the footrest; and a magnetic part configured to enable the lid to selectively couple to, or decouple from, the case in which a third link vertically connected to the second link moves vertically, due to the seesaw operation of the second link, and controls a magnetic force flow depending on whether a magnetic force means, installed on the top end of the second link, is in contact with a close-contact means installed on the lid and the case.
