Abstract:
This gas generator comprises a container that contains a combustible ignited by the operation of an ignition device, the container including an enclosing member secured within a housing so as to encircle the ignition device, and a lid member that defines the internal space of the container together with the enclosing member by fitting with the enclosing member. In the part of the container other than the part where the enclosing member and the lid member fit together before the operation of the ignition device, a communication hole allowing communication between the internal space and an external space of the container is formed so that the combustion product of the combustible can be discharged to the external space of the container.
