Title:
GAS-SHIELDED ARC WELDING METHOD FOR STEEL SHEETS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/182081
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a gas-shielded arc welding method which enable, when butting and bonding steel sheets together by multilayer welding, performing gas-shielded arc welding without requiring a preheating process on portions to be bonded together so that low-temperature cracking at a welded portion which occurs after cooling can be effectively prevented. Two steel sheets each having tensile strength of at least 590 MPa and a thickness of at least 22 mm are butted together, a bevel angle is set to at most 10°, a bevel gap is set to 7-15 mm, and using a welding wire containing 0.015-0.100% by mass of REM, gas-shielded arc welding in which the welding wire is set to the negative side is performed to bond the steel sheets together by butt multilayer welding.
