Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a material for storing a gas (excluding nitrogen gas), e.g., hydrogen, carbon dioxide, methane, or acetylene, the material including a metal/organic framework having a hydroxamic acid group as a combining site. The metal organic framework obtained by combining a polyvalent metal ion with a molecule having both an (un)substituted hydroxamic acid group and one or more portions capable of combining with the polyvalent metal ion is included. It is preferable that the molecule be at least one selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by formulae (I) to (III).
