Abstract:
The invention relates to a gearbox device especially a gearbox for a motor vehicle comprising a drive-by-wire operating device and a method for operating said gearbox device . Sensors detect the position of a selector aid, said sensors transmit the signals thereof via a data bus to a control device and the chosen selector position is determined in the control device by means of identification logic.
