Abstract:
The present invention provides a glass direct roving which enables the achievement of good glass filament-reinforced thermoplastic resin pellet productivity, while being capable of achieving a good balance between excellent spinnability and good strength of a glass fiber-reinforced resin molded article that is produced using glass filament-reinforced thermoplastic resin pellets. This glass direct roving is configured by bundling a plurality of glass filaments; the filament diameters D of the glass filaments are within the range of from 17.5 μm to 21.5 μm; the number F of the bundled glass filaments is within the range of from 3,000 to 7,000; the mass of this glass direct roving is within the range of from 2,450 tex to 4,000 tex; the ignition loss L of this glass direct roving is within the range of from 0.03% to 0.90%; and the above-described D, F and L satisfy formula (1). (1): 1050 ≤ (D4 × F1/4)/(1000 × L1/6) ≤ 1640
