Abstract:
One or more secondary glass films G2a, G2b are obtained by cutting a strip of primary glass film G1 while the primary glass film G1 is being conveyed in a predetermined direction by a conveyance device 8. In obtaining the secondary glass films G2a, G2b, the primary glass film G1 is cut by irradiating the primary glass film G1 with a laser in a predetermined cutting zone 21 using a laser cutting device 9. The conveyance device 8 is composed of an upstream conveyor 19 and a downstream conveyor 20. The downstream conveyor 20 is composed of a plurality of downstream belt conveyors 27 capable of contact-supporting the secondary glass films G2a, G2b with belts 28. The belts 28 of the downstream belt conveyors 27 are configured so as to be positionally adjustable in the width direction of the primary glass film G1.
