Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a glass film G1, said method including at least a cutting step S5 for cutting a strip-shaped glass film G1 while conveying the glass film G1 in a predetermined direction by a conveying device 8, wherein the glass film G1 is cut in a predetermined cutting zone 21 by irradiating the glass film G1 with laser light L at the cutting step S5, and surfaces 23a, 28a for supporting and conveying the glass film G1 in the conveying device 8 are separated by the cutting zone 21 for the glass film G1. Respective first surface plates 38 capable of contacting and supporting glass films G2a, G2b after cutting are disposed at positions located in the width direction of the glass film G1 with respect to the cutting zone 21 and corresponding to the centers of the glass films G2a, G2b in the width direction.
