Abstract:
This glass plate production device 1 comprises a cutting chamber 3 and a cutting mechanism 6 for cutting and separating an unwanted part 4a from a glass plate 4 in a vertical orientation inside the cutting chamber 3, the glass plate production device 1 being configured such that: a first holding member 8 is provided, capable of holding the unwanted part 4a before and after cutting; and the cutting chamber 3 has a disposal port 12 wherethrough the unwanted part 4a after cutting is ejected to the exterior of the chamber and discarded, the disposal port 12 being disposed in such a manner as to accept the unwanted part 4a (disposal target unwanted part 4x) after the cutting, which drops as the hold by the first holding member 8 is released.
