Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a gravure printing method for storing a water-based ink in an ink pan and printing to a print base medium using a furnisher roll, a gravure roll, a doctor blade, and a nip roll, wherein: the water-based ink includes a pigment, a polymer, an organic solvent, a surfactant, and water; the content of an organic solvent having a boiling point of 100-260°C in the organic solvent is 0.3-12% by mass in the water-based ink; the average grain diameter of the pigment particles is 120-350 nm; and the arithmetic mean roughness (Ra) of a gravure roll plate surface is 10-140 nm. According to the present invention, it is possible to improve ink transferability to a print base medium such as a resin film and suppress fogging of the plate.
