Title:
GRINDING METHOD AND GRINDING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/163390
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To enable determination of whether a grinding wheel and a grinding material have come into contact to be accurately performed without being affected by the mechanical characteristics of a grinding machine or by interference from the surrounding environment. [Solution] Flexural vibration noise produced by a grinding wheel 22 and propagated through the air is collected by a microphone 26, the grinding wheel 22 is advanced toward a grinding material until the acoustic pressure of the flexural vibration noise or the rate of increase in said acoustic pressure reaches a first threshold value, the grinding wheel 22 is advanced toward the grinding material from the point in time when the acoustic pressure of the flexural vibration noise or the rate of increase in said acoustic pressure reaches the first threshold value until a prescribed cutting amount is reached, and the advancing of the grinding wheel is stopped at the point in time when the prescribed cutting amount is reached.
