Abstract:
A grip member, and a toothbrush and dinnerware making use of the grip member, the grip member comprising a rod-shaped grip body (1) made from a shape memory resin, a connection pin (4) provided on one end of the grip body (1) and connected detachably to a brush body (10) or a dinnerware body, a fork section (3) formed integrally on the other end of the grip body (1) and adapted to be hooked onto the grip body (1) for engagement therewith, and an annular section (2) which is formed integrally near the one end of the grip body (1) and onto which the fork section (3) is hooked. When the grip body (1) is heated to a temperature equal to or higher than the glass transition point of the shape memory resin to be brought into a rubbery state, the fork section (3) is hooked onto and engages with the annular section (2) so as to loop the grip body (1), and the looped grip body (1) is deformed in accordance with a user&apos s palm and a user&apos s grasping power so as to be suitably set in a size in a diametrical direction, the grip body (1) is cooled to a temperature equal to or lower than the glass transition point to easily accommodate delicate differences in a grasping condition.
