Description:
THE 'GUARDIAN' SMART GUN PROTECTION AND MONITORING SYSTEM WITH BIOLOGICAL DEFINITION REDUCED TO INDIVIDUAL GUN CHAMBER

5 Technical Field

Guardian (gun chamber) which reduced to individual and biologically defined intelligent gun protection and monitoring system; three sides (top, bottom, side edges) closed, front is open and provides protection, preservation and security of firearms. Guardian pairing guns and personnel in the system, preventing the 10 use of unauthorized people, thus guards (gun chamber) restricts the movement of the guns on all axes (vertical, horizontal, diagonal, etc.), locking the gun up inside the chamber, keeping it safe for usage under specific system control parameters.

The gun chamber is a locking system that does not allow unauthorized removal is of the gun from the system (gun chamber) in full operational mode also which creates a barrier the use of gun other than authorized personnel. If there are no personnel defined in the system by the higher authorities on that specific time period, system will not allow person to enter the storage place and take the gun from the gun chamber if the order has not been approved. Protection 20 of the gun is performed by mechanical, biological identification, electronic lock and multiple id systems. Besides having authorized user of the gun, there shall be a system which enables the senior personnel to follow and monitor to be able to follow all the movements of the gun during its life span with software algorithms.

25 The system has a database structure that keeps records of all movement of data with timestamps.

Ability to make and control statistical queries of the gun by means of motion, data records, host user interfaces for the above-mentioned programs.

The structure can be adapted to personnel type guns other than guns.

BO The size of the gun chamber is adjustable according to any kind of guns in the market. Hardware, software controlled electronic, biometric and mechanical lock system which allows the gun chambers to be locked by both from the barrel and the butt.

The gun chamber consists of two intertwined bodies and has a height stabilizer adjusting bolt.

There is a software controlled electronic RFID reader placed in the gun chamber so the system does not allow any other gun except the paired one with that specific RFID reader accepted in order to ensure the correct gun placed in the chamber.

Electronic RFID tag is embedded inside the gun and identification of the gun ensures that the gun is kept in the paired gun chamber.

The gun chamber has an illuminated warning device to remotely detect the presence of a gun.

Barrel and butt lock systems in gun chambers allow ease of placement and removal of guns by moving the guns in vertical, horizontal and diagonal axis. Allows authorized personnel to collectively release the complete lock systems of the gun chambers by means of software in emergency situations.

The system is protected against power failure as well as an event of a electrical or physical failure which locks can mechanically be the released individually or collectively to free guns. On the contrary, in the event of adverse emergency all chambers can be locked locally or generally not the reach of use.

In the system, the gun chambers are mounted on a structure at the storage location, allowing them to be stored in bulk.

In case of a failure in mechanic or electronic system of the gun chambers, it provides time and labor saving by allowing the defective chamber to be removed and repaired or replaced easily with a new one.

There are wedge slots and central locking shaft hooks in the structure that allows the gun chambers fixed on the structure behind the storage place. Locking the gun chambers to the system by means of the central locking shaft and hooks which prevent the gun chambers from being removed other than authorized people. Allowing network configuration for computer connections by placing a certain number of control panels between the gun chambers at the storage location in the system.

There is an opening and closing lever of the central lock hook shaft which is used to lock the gun chambers on the structure within the control panels.

In the control panels, the central locking hook shaft secures the system that locks the chambers on the structure by means of locking pins that lock the opening and closing arm with an additional lock.

In control panels, there are the panels of the mechanical unlocking wires which enable the release of the locks in case of emergency and their pull handles.

In order to enter the location where gun chambers are stored, pertinent personnel register their biological identification in advance.

Opening of the turnstile at the entrance of the place where guns are stored can individually be released for the person whose identification of biological information (fingerprint, retina, face recognition, etc.) accepted by the system. Personnel have to pair the electronic RFID tag placed on the gun as well as the RFID reader on the kiosk along with the biological identification so that the system allows entering where gun chambers storage location to deliver the guns.

Provides an advantage that the gun cannot be disassembled to remove from the chamber, except the system permits.

Keeping, reaching and controlling each gun in the defined gun chamber while guns are not in use.

Since the system recognizes each gun chamber and gun separately, the desired gun is released independently from the others when conditions met.

The authorities can see the instant inventory and general condition of all guns in the system (maintenance times, breakdowns, gun history, etc.).

Increased protection ensured by two way 'barrel and butt' locking system. Personnel cannot take the gun out of chambers except pre-defined times, thus minimizing the risk of personnel injury, gun wear, theft, loss. BACKGROUND

USA9355510 document is registered in the scope of protection, including the cabinet system and biometric reader operating system is available.

In our country, there is a gun storage container with utility model 2016/04114 application number and 2016-GE-127144 document number. The storage container is mobile and is a precaution to avoid physical damage (scratches, moisture, etc.) on a single weapon basis but the same system does not constitute an obstacle to such as theft, unauthorized use, multiple storage and so on.

Again in the system used in law enforcement and armed forces in our country, guns are locked with padlock by passing chains or wire ropes through trigger slots. In this case, the attempt to protect a large number of guns locked by chain or steel wire with a single padlock creates serious security weaknesses. In this structure, all of the guns, including the trigger mechanisms, are accessible.

The fact that these guns can be fired without disassembling the guns due to their wide range of motion allows all guns to be exposed to all kinds of malicious intervention, resulting in undesirable consequences, including injuries or even death.

In the same institutions, inventory is made by means of personnel, which results in loss of time and labor and erroneous results from time to time that become vulnerable to abuse.

Method and Working Principle

The 'Guardian' gun system consists of one piece, the main body (A) the gun chamber. Adjustment according to the length of the gun is realized by means of the gun body length adjustment holes (L).

At the bottom of the body is the gun grip lock apparatus (J), where the gun grip part of the gun is located, the gun grip lock electromagnetic lock apparatus (C), the outer case of the gun grip lock mechanical release wire (F), the steel wire gun grip mechanical lock release device connecting device (D) which combines electromagnetic lock, gun grip device movement channel (K) which provides movement of gun grip lock apparatus, data and energy cables and RFID reader that transmits lock-and-close signals from the system and provides RFID communication (G).

Barrel lock apparatus (R) on the upper part of the body, barrel lock electromagnetic lock apparatus (N) locking the barrel lock apparatus, outer casing of steel wire and wire for mechanically opening the lock, mechanical opening wire of the barrel lock (H), barrel mechanical unlocking connection apparatus (S), data and energy cables that transmit the open and close signals from the system.

To create the system, first there is a storage location. A frame structure to accommodate the chambers at the storage location. The chambers mounting frame (LL) is installed. After the chambers have been placed, the chambers are locked by means of the Chambers Central Lock Shafts (U) and the Central Lock Shaft Locking Hooks (Y). Cubby control panels (KK) are placed between number of chamber blocks. Control panel consist of the central locking shaft mechanical release levers (V), the central locking shaft mechanical release lever securing springs (HH) and the central locking shaft spring housings (EE) holding the central locking shaft in the pre-setting, the mechanical unlocking wire connection panel (DD), the communication network connection cables (II), network hub (GG) mechanical unlocking wires (CC) and central locking shaft locking pins (JJ).

In order to provide cellular data transfer and communicate with the system, one or more of 3G, 4G, 5G with wireless and/or wired network structures, server and its connected computers, the database in which the data is saved can be connected the main hardware and software.

The RFID tag (M) is placed in the guns to be placed in the system and the gun is identified and matched with the serial number of the gun and registered in the database. The biometric data of the personnel will be included along with the gun serial and other characteristics are defined to the system database to complete the installation.

After the installation is completed;

Personnel and gun datum has to be issued to the network system to pick the gun up at the time of arrival, then system checks the accuracy of biometric data and belonging gun of the personnel to match. Followed by releasing of locks for personnel to enter the storage location and gun chamber. At the same time, audible sign and light on chamber flashes along with the kiosk screen informs that personnel from chamber to take the weapon and unlocks the gun chamber that paired with the system data. Personnel come in front of the chamber with a light flashes identifies that his own gun chamber and gun. Holding the handle of the unlocked gun in the 45-degree position (T) than the gun is lifted upwards until the barrel orientation is parallel to the floor. Finally possess the gun by pulling towards himself. When the gun is removed, the barrel safety shaft (I) of the chamber is parallel to the ground and the gun grip (J) is at an angle of 45 degrees and are both locked. Therefore, it does not allow different gun entry. Simultaneously with an audible and visual warning on the kiosk screen, it initiates a predetermined time for the gun to be removed from the chamber. After the gun has been removed from the chamber within the specified time, the system automatically locks the chamber locks at the end of that time. The system locks itself even if the gun is not removed within the specified time. In this case, the pairing cycle of the personnel biometrics and gun acceptance period has to be restarted. This incident is also registered in the system records.

When the staff arrives at the storage location to deposit the gun to the chamber, system identifies the biometric data via kiosk desk as well as the RFID tag embedded in the gun. Following the pairing of the personnel with the gun datum matches correctly, the chamber is unlocked electronically (but mechanically the locks are closed, the barrel safety shaft (I) is parallel to the ground, the gun grip lock apparatus (J) is in a 45 degree position) and the system alerts audible and flashing light warnings as well as kiosk gives written warning that gun chamber is ready to deposit the gun. The system simultaneously starts the predetermined time for the chamber to place the gun. In order to place the gun in the chamber, the personnel places the barrel of the gun on the barrel safety shaft (I), which is unlocked and released electronically and is parallel to the ground. Together with the gun, the barrel securing shaft (I) and the barrel lock apparatus (R) are lifted slightly upwards to open the barrel lock electromagnetic lock apparatus (N) and the gun grip locks electromagnetic lock apparatus (C) mechanically. Thus, the barrel lock apparatus (R) and the gun grip lock apparatus (J) are released. The barrel is placed on the safety shaft (I) by lowering the gun down into the gun grip gun lock apparatus (J), pushing it forward and the gun is placed in the chamber finally locks the electromagnetic locks after a predetermined time. After allow personnel to leave the storage area without a gun. If the pairing verification does not occur, the system does not lock the chamber by giving an audible and light warning though forces the personnel to place the gun into the correct chamber by not unlocking the locks. System pairing and acceptance necessary for the personnel to leave the storage location with gun and also system warns the local/ upper control personnel regarding incident.
