Description:
Hair brush

The subject of the invention is a hair brush, connected to a hair dryer by sliding onto it, and used to dry and style the hair, in particular long hair, in hairdressing salons and for individual use.

During the drying of hair in the process of their styling a stream of warm air is required, flowing out of the hair brush in the vicinity of the bristles. In known solutions the air stream flows out through openings in the base for the bristles. Under the base there is a chamber connected directly to the zone of warm air stream from the hair dryer.

In these solutions the air stream cannot be directed, the air flows in principle parallel to the axes of the bristles.

There is a solution described in the P. 418590 patent description, where a hair brush contains an extended grip, with a flat head placed on this grip, the head containing a flat socket confined by a circumferential stop collar. Inside the socket a rubber insert is placed with the use of its circumferential edge. Working elements in the form of bristles are placed in the socket. Between the insert and the bottom of the hair brush there's an air space. The rubber insert in its central part has a thickness at least twice of the thickness near the edge of its stop collar. The insert thickness increases slowly from its circumferential edge towards its central part. In order to properly brush and style hair, in particular long hair, it is required to direct warm air behind the brush, in the zone where the bristles have passed, and in other cases in the zone before the bristles, and in yet others on the side of the zone of passage of bristles.

None of the solutions so far have enabled such changes to the stream of warm air.

This problem is solved by the design of the brush presented below.

The essence of the invention, which is a hair brush, in particular for placing over a hair dryer nozzle, having a body with an adapter sleeve for the hair dryer nozzle, in which the base with the bristles is placed, consists of a body with an outline of a circle having top walls turned in towards the central axis, forming a recess for the carrier base with bristles, and has an air inlet, whereas the carrier base with bristles has a shape being advantageously a circular fragment of a sphere and is placed in an articulated manner on the axis of a rocker unit

It is advantageous when the rocker unit has a controller

It is also advantageous when the controller is a knob placed on the axis of the unit or when the controller consists of strips having catches beyond the outline of the brush, whereas the strips are placed at least on one side and on the front of the brush.

It is also advantageous when the upper wall of the body has cross-shaped protrusions for the mounting of the rocker unit axis,

It is moreover advantageous when on the opposite surface of the surface with the carrier base with bristles has protrusions for locking the knob.

Moreover it is advantageous when the rocker unit is a ball-and-socket joint, with the socket embedded in the body, and the ball embedded in the carrier of the bristles on the surface opposite to the bristles.

It is additionally advantageous when the diameter of the outlet opening of the body amounts to 0.95-0.85, advantageously 0.9 of the diameter of the carrier base, and the edge of the opening is located on a plane passing advantageously through the apex point of the bristle carrier bulge. It is particularly advantageous when the body on its internal body has envelope protrusions, whereas the carrier body with bristles on its upper surface has an envelope protrusion.

It is particularly advantageous when the carrier base has a shaped cut-out in an arc a within a range of (60-120)°.

The use of the solution presented in the invention enables the following technical and utility effects:

- division of the air stream in accordance with the requirements of the optimum process of hair drying and styling,

- rapid change of flow direction of the stream of warm air,

- changing the direction of the air stream is easy, does not require any effort,

- high durability of the device,

- the ability to rapidly replace the bristles base,

- facilitating hairdresser's work by eliminating the need to change the direction in which the entire dryer - brush set is positioned, in accordance with the direction of brushing.

The subject of the invention, in an example, but not limiting, implementation was presented in diagrams on the figure, where on fig. 1 the brush was shown in a view onto bristles, on fig. 2 the brush was shown in a side view, on fig. 3 the brush was shown in a view from the side opposite to the inlet, on fig. 4 the brush was shown in an A-A cross-section from fig. 1 , on fig. 5 the brush was shown in a B-B cross-section from fig. 1 , on fig. 6 the brush was shown in a view of the bottom in the version with the knob, on fig. 7 the brush cross-section was shown in the G-G plane from fig. 2, on fig. 8 the brush cross-section was shown in the L-L plane from fig. 2, on fig. 9 the brush was cross-section was shown in the J-J plane from fig. 2, on fig. 10 the brush cross-section was shown in the plane passing through the axis of rotation and perpendicular to the lengthwise axis of the brush, on fig. 11 the brush cross-section was shown in the plane passing through the axis of rotation and lengthwise axis of the brush, on fig. 12 the view of the brush was shown on the bristles carrier base in the version with a shaped cut-out The hair brush has a body 1 with a sleeve 2 for placing over the nozzle of the hair dryer not shown the figure. In the body 1 a base 3 with bristles 4 is placed. The body 1 with an outline of a circle has top walls turned in towards the central axis, forming a recess 5 for the carrier 6 base 3 with bristles 4, and has an air inlet 2. The carrier 6 base 3 with bristles 4 has an oval shape and is placed on the axis 7 of the controller 8, which is a knob 11, in combination creating a rocker, which is presented in the first version. The axis 7 connected to the carrier 6 base 3 is placed in the zone of cross-shaped protrusions 9 of the bottom wall of the body 1 of the brush.

There are also versions where on the surface of the opposite to the carrier 6 base 3 with bristles 4 there are protrusions 10 locking a knob 11.

Moreover there are versions where the rocker unit is a ball-and-socket joint 12, with the socket embedded in the body 1 , and the ball embedded in the carrier 6 base 3 of the bristles 4 on the surface opposite to the bristles 4.

In the also existing versions the D1 diameter of the outlet opening of the body 1 amounts to 0.95-0.85, advantageously 0.9 of the D2 diameter of the carrier 6 base 3, and the edge of the opening is located on a plane passing advantageously through the apex point of the bristle 4 carrier 6 base 3 bulge.

There are also versions where the body 1 on its internal body has envelope protrusions 13, whereas the carrier 6 base 3 with bristles 4 on its upper surface has an envelope protrusion 14.

There are also versions where the carrier 6 base 3 has a shaped cut-out 15 in an arc a within a range of (60-120)°.

The brush is placed over a hair dryer nozzle. Warm air flows through the duct inside the brush and flows out through a recess 5, directed over bristles 4. The direction of the outflow of the stream of air depends on the position of the gap 13 between the recess 5 of the body 1 and the edge of the carrier 6 base 3 with bristles 4. By moving the axis 7 with a knob 11 within the cross-shaped grooves 9 the gap 16 is positioned at the front, the side or the rear of the brush. This obtains the effect of directing the stream of warm air to the front, side or rear of the brush, in order with the requirements of the brushing technology. In one of the versions the resistance of hair during brushing causes the tilting of the carrier 6 base 3 with the bristles 4 on a swivel 12. One of the sides of the brush recess 5 will be closed, and the opposite gap 16 of the brush recess 5 will be enlarged. The flow of air will occur only on one side of the brush.

In another version it is possible to permanently set for a given period the direction of outflow of the stream of air by snapping in the appropriate location of the body envelope of the protrusions 13 with the protrusions 14 of the carrier 6 base 3.

In another version the direction of outflow of air is controlled by rotating the carrier 6 base 3 on the axis of the swivel 12, so that the cut-out 15 forming the gap through which the air flows out is placed in accordance with the brushing technology.
