A hair styling appliance, comprising: a first clamping plate (6) and a second clamping plate (7) that are used for clamping hair. The first clamping plate (6) is provided with a first heating plate (2); the second clamping plate (7) is provided with a second heating plate (3); at least one of the first heating plate (2) and the second heating plate (3) is provided with at least one blocking portion (5); the blocking portions (5) are convexly provided on the opposite surfaces of the first heating plate (2) or the second heating plate (3), so that in a closed state, a gap of 0.05-0.4 mm is formed between the first heating plate (2) and the second heating plate (3). Compared with the prior art, the blocking portions (5) of the present invention are provided on the first heating plate (2) and the second heating plate (3), so that the gap between the first heating plate (2) and the second heating plate (3) can be avoided from being changed under the action of an elastic component, and the gap between the first heating plate (2) and the second heating plate (3) is always in a state meeting a requirement, thereby improving user experience.
