Abstract:
This hand drying device is provided with: a housing having a hand insertion portion; a blower portion which delivers an airflow to be injected by the hand insertion portion; a hand detecting portion for detecting a hand that is inserted into the hand insertion portion; a power source portion (24) including a booster circuit for boosting a direct current voltage; a drive circuit (25) which receives a power supply from the power source portion (24) to drive the blower portion; and a bootstrap circuit (45) connected to the drive circuit (25). The drive circuit (25) can drive the blower portion after charging the bootstrap circuit (45). The booster circuit starts boosting when the hand is detected by the hand detecting portion. Charging of the bootstrap circuit (45) is performed during the period in which boosting is being performed.
