Abstract:
Provided is a handrail device for a passenger conveyor, wherein a plurality of handrail columns are erected with gaps therebetween in the advancing direction of footsteps. A plurality of outer decks abut against each other at the positions of the handrail columns. Recessed sections through which the handrail columns pass are provided on mutually adjacent end sections of outer decks. Gaps are provided between edge sections of the recessed sections and the handrail columns. A plurality of cover members for covering the gaps are provided on the outer decks. The cover members are fixed to the handrail columns via clamps fixed to the footstep-side end surfaces of the handrail columns.
